Beth Hoyt is an actor who mostly does comedy, and so is sometimes considered a comedienne. She has performed Transition and Radio Play with Reggie Watts and Tommy Smith at The Public Theater, Ars Nova, PS 122, Bumbershoot, TBA Festival in Portland, On the Boards in Seattle, and at The Bushwick Starr this October. Beth has also been in plays at the Flea, the Ohio (Clubbed Thumb), and New Georges with new plays by A.R. Gurney, Heidi Schreck, Anne-Marie Healy, and Christopher Durang.
Beth is in the web series Gay's Anatomy and is Jenny in Reggie and Jenny. She co-wrote, produced, and starred in the mind-blowing web series Shut Up, Beth! with Trish Nelson. Beth and Trish also host a weekly comedy/variety show at The Cove in Williamsburg called A Big Effing Deal! Beth has discovered her alter-ego of Gwyneth Paltrow during this show, and does everything she's too scared to do on her own inside the being of Gwen. She’s working on a show featuring all that good stuff called The World According to GOOP.
Beth also writes for Brokelyn.com. She’ll be acting in a funny new piece by Chris Durang at the Summer Shorts at 59e59th Street Theater this August.
"Among the dozens of actors in the five plays, he is outdone only by Elizabeth Hoyt as his wife, whose deadpan delivery of some throwaway lines amid the chaos is just right." - The New York Times
